New Sam's Club under construction

I noticed a lot of construction activity northeast of 72 nd and Cornhusker in Papillion.  Friends who live nearby told me that it is a new Sam's Club and Hobby Lobby going in there.

Old Mill Toyota was supposed to break ground this year on a brand new sales facility out by Village Point.  But I was told there has been a delay until at least next year.  Meanwhile Performance Toyota is hard at work expanding their relatively new facility off of Harrison Street.

I haven't been inside yet, but I hope they maintained as much of the urban sophistication of the Crane Coffee operation that proceeded them.  One local food blogger described the interior as dumpy, however.

This is more great news for mid-town, and Omaha in general!  The area has reached the tipping point where more businesses will want to relocate due to the high number of residents, which then encourages even more residential development, leading to more businesses, etc.
