I was talking to one of the owners of the Waiting Room this weekend. Apparently they purchased a building across the street and just a bit west. They are planning 7 apartments on the second level. On the main level there will be a bar and some type of burger place. They have talked to Stella's abou...

Hes talking about an arena district (Haymarket) taking off right away. Oh, so saying that Lincoln's arena has the advantage because it's being built in an already established section of town?  I sort of agree, but would love to give it a few years before I make a serious comparison. Don't get me wr...

I know, I thought that quite strange, too. Why would Hyatt use the Chicago office of an Omaha firm to design the Omaha hotel?
Because the Chicago based hotel developers probably have a working relationship with the Chicago office.

We also have a $174 million project recently announced literally right outside the front door. Lincoln's arena would be like if Omaha put the arena in the Old Market.  The Haymarket is an established area.  North Downtown was a scrap yard a decade ago. http://www.selectgreateromaha.com/Omaha/media...

He gave up and his players gave up.

If Doc returns next season they may as well move their home games to the Pershing.  That is all the seating they will need.

Nope.

The article mentioned that they had to scale back the size of the building a bit to make sure they could reach their funding.

By the sounds of things the designs are still in very early stages.
