Re: Benson
I hadn't been to Benson in months, so I decided to go last night and pay attention to the sidewalks. I thought the new sidewalks were great! The crosswalks for wheelchairs were nice. The sidewalks were smooth and seemed wider. Overall I think it is quite an improvement. I went to Benson Brewery sinc...

Re: UNO's "Baxter Arena" @ Aksarben
Also they mentioned how they gained dozens of extra "seats" from the rollout bleachers. I really don't know how that one is possible. Perhaps they just changed the seat measurement from 18 inches to 16 inches.

Re: UNO's "Baxter Arena" @ Aksarben
I laughed when I saw the headline in the paper this morning. They seriously didn't know how many seats they had? Didn't they think it was odd how they had to order a few hundred more seats? Yes I read the article, they explained where the extra space come from, but they didn't account for the extra ...

I walked inside the food court. They have a lot of the utilities up, and have started doing some tile on the floor. The walls are still just studs. No kitchen equipment. I didn't see fire suppression, but I forgot to look. I suppose it might be done before the end of the year. Depends on the equipme...

We've had Cox, Time Warner and Dish Network in the past. Never had a problem with any of them. Satellite maybe went out twice ever.

Looking at that picture of the Lexus SUV, it seems that the building used to be all windows on the front and they were removed and bricked up. I'm not familiar with that building, so I could be wrong.

Re: Lumberyard District (Downtown Millard) In Progress
I was rather hoping we could do it on a going forward. Just a thought that likely should have been posted to an admin topic. Proposed, In Progress, Complete, and DOA If we applied these to construction topics it might be useful. To me anyhow, I don't know if others think the same. That's what they ...

Re: Omaha Ramen Noodle Fest
Looking at their official facebook event page, it looks like they will have 10 chefs. So 600 ramens each. Let's say the festival is 4 hours long. That means they need to cook 150 ramens per hour or 2.5 per minute. I suppose it is possible, but they will be BUSY.

Re: Omaha Ramen Noodle Fest
Over 6000 people have RSVP'd on Facebook. Even if only 3000 people showed up, and lets say only tried 2 different ramens...I dont see how they can cook up 6000 batches of ramen. If you're going to go, get there early. Last year was insane. With 10 times as many people this year, it should be interes...

It looks like they are installing metal and translucent panels on the wall clips after all, as I mentioned earlier. That should give it a crisp clean, finished high-tech look it's been lacking so far. I'm wondering if the translucent panels will be back-lit. Yes. It is all lit up at night. I just s...

Yeah, it is supposed to be November.
I know drywall just takes a couple days, but they still need to do flooring, counter tops, kitchen equipment, pass inspection, remove construction walls.
