Re: It’s that time of year again- 2017 Metro population estimates coming officially on 3/22/18
So Wiki was updated, it has the CSA at 970,023 and the growth rate since 2010 at 7.54%. Lincoln at 353,120 with a rate of 8.83%. Omaha Lincoln CSA of 1,323,143. Lol So I took the average yearly growth from 2010 to 2017 and got 999,156 by 2020. However the growth has slowly accelerated since 2010 so ...

Oh good, that’s not the high rise but that’s another big building. I think it’s the one with the rental space and fog machine.

Re: Civic Square (former Civic Auditorium)
I don't know how much truth is behind this, but, I was told a Hy-Vee personnel said that they pulled out of the Civic site because they would have too many Millenial customers who would be too fickle with food preferences that would mess with their ordering system. Dang Millennials.. Messing with o...

I’m bitter sweet about this, they were just going to build four blocks of low rises since they had no tenant. If CB can get a couple residential high rises why not here..

Re: Oak View Mall - Redevelopment Plan
If this closed and became another vanilla lifestyle center the west roads could continue to prosper and grow. I’ve learned recently how many people from around the region come in to shop. The west roads could swell to 1.5 or 2 million we could land more of that tourism coin. Even though it’s just co...

So we went to Annie's during the festivities yesterday. That place was wild. Had a vibe much like some Lincoln bars, younger crowd being the main reason, but wow was it alive. The bars here have a lot of potential and it seems like people were very excited for it to be there. Going to continue nurs...

They're really adding to the quirky nature of that exit. I feel like both this and the Boys Town exit need to be removed. They are too close to the other exits and cause major congestion. It's nice for the neighborhood (and I use it everyday), but it is detrimental to the traffic flow on Dodge. I'm...

You have to love real estate developers, Trenton is still boastful about this. He admits the fūtball fields will open soon but the natatorium will open after 2020. That alone is enough for me write it off..

I’d say they’re out of luck for th long terms too. I only have three problems with this and of course it’s an asinine low rise, it shortens the list of this famed GLM head piece and we are losing another street. I think it’s OCD but our downtown street grid is already looking like a Cadillac grill f...

. I’m betting if crossroads would have went through they would’ve thought about a second location there. Omaha store doesn’t create enough business $ (yet) for Apple to open a second store in the area. The general rule of thumb seems to be a store per every million people or so. So technically Omah...
