No one is seriously suggesting getting rid of all cars. But that doesn't mean that we have to further promote their use, especially not downtown (which, I'll remind everyone, what this thread is about). There just isn't quite the residential density in the area to support the number of bars/restaurants through the week. It's a shame, because the building stock is great, and any restaurateur can envision a cool spot in any of those old brick buildings.
