So I read in a article with the hiring of Tom Warren there is now a discussion about replacing the old Omaha PD HQ. If true where in Downtown do you think they will place it also curious how big it will be.

I’m extremely happy that the City of Omaha realizes the potential that UNMC brings to the city. This $2.8 Billion dollar project will invigorate midtown Omaha and Omaha’s economy. I’m hoping Nebraska gets picked for the federal program.

So we now have 2 Mega Data centers in the region 1 in Iowa which is Google which is also expanding further and then the Facebook Data center. Loving it

I'm kinda confused why my post was taken down and I wasn't told why. Anyways who do you think will occupy the building once TD leaves? Personally if they are going to move out of Omaha they loose the building and there employees and get a smaller building.

It’s quite sad but we could make this into a big win for Omaha if the City plays it’s cards right. We can also move the police HQ down there.

It’s been confirmed the Merger is going to happen. Still has to go through the regulators. Omaha would loose another corporate HQ apparently they are moving it to Westlake Texas.

Well it’s been confirmed that Charles Schwab will be making a move on TD. Sadly though that means the building in West Omaha is probably going to be abandoned. They are moving to West Lakes TX once they get approval to merge. Anyone have a idea who we could get in to fill that building?

There’s never been 4 Data Centers within the same region and so close. Then again Google could be building another Large dat center complex like they did in Iowa. The SLN Data center is Googles largest Globally. Btw there’s is way more security officers then just 2 on every shift ;)

There’s going to be a lot more then 30 jobs created. That’s just google jobs. The security needed it’s going to be vast they need 3 shifts not to mention possible expansion.Also DCOPS and HWOPS personnel. It’s going to be more then 30.

We could have a light rail system run on the opposite side of I-80 to Lincoln it could be called the L line or the Big Red line. Once in Lincoln there could be stops by the Capitol building and Memorial stadium. Then in stops in West Omaha , La-Vista and Downtown Omaha. I’d be for that.
