Re: OKC 2nd Tallest Skyscraper in the USA
I will go ahead and say it. OKC has already had too much destruction with the bombing in the 90's. They do not need to build another target that could be a focal point at some point in time for the wrong reasons. to be fair, they shouldn't have built the Freedom tower in NYC either then. That being...

a million dollars? I can't believe it costs that much for that small stretch of road Remove Existing Pavement @ $15sqyd = 2000x15 = $30,000 Subgrade Preparation @ $5sqyd 4000x5 = $20,000 9" PCC Concrete Pavement @ $80sqyd 4000x80 = $320,000 So that's already $370,000 with just 3 items. You sti...

do you guys have any pointers on deterring rabbits making homes in your back yard? I've got a deck that they love to nest under, which I wouldn't mind if they didn't try to eat my plants. I showed my kids the renderings and told them about where it'd be and stuff, and they were excited. They said "it's right by the luminarium and that big playground!" I think this is a lot better spot than some folks are giving it credit for. I mean, honestly, when it's nice out, we go down...

Is it going to be the college world series hall of fame? Like, have a college baseball one, then a CWS one? doesn't make a ton of sense, but may be plausible.

there is a pack of them roaming around the west end of CB. It's understandable if they are in fields or areas near the river, but to be in residential neighborhoods seems odd. Animal control isn't worried about it though

I kind of love this idea. I actually really like how many areas this track snakes by. Printing station is right next to Capitol District/north part of CBD. There is also the 12th and Dodge ORBT station just a block south. I know an A-B route is preferred for speed, but you're hitting a lot of hotel...

And as an aside, I gotta say, despite a lot of valid criticisms recently about her time spent outside of the city, Stothert has got to be one of the most impressive mayors Omaha has had, downtown development wise. I even say this as a pretty firm progressive, if she ran again and I was voting in Om...

I guess I don't really understand all the criticism that this is receiving from an access/accessibility perspective. This proposed development is on currently unused land in north downtown, just sitting empty. It is also a 10-15 minute walk from Millwork (which we all laud), Charles schwab, CHI are...

This is cool and all — but the city again fails to create a vibrant, walkable neighborhood. This is too far away from the existing sports venues to create any true cohesion downtown. How do people go from this new thing to literally anything else downtown? That walk will be abysmal. The city should...

I watched something online the other day about why there are so many 5 over 1 boxes in the US vs cities in Europe and it has to do with fire code. I guess you’d have to ask the owners for the meaning behind the name. Are they going to feature American spirits, wines and beers? Theme bars and restaurants are fine; I have no problem with that. Sounds like I'm not the only one who hates the idea of this 'me too', let's be an 'International' airport.
