Re: WOWT "Pros"
it just appears that all four (yes, 42 included) have dropped off the planet in terms of quality. 42 is sooooo far out in left field (scratch that, make that RIGHT field) that it's not even in the same universe as the three so-called majors! The last time I attempted to watch their "news"...

Re: WOWT "Pros"
I bet there were a lot of folks back in the 80's and 90's who thought the quality of the news coverage in Omaha sucked and they missed "the good old days" of the 60's and 70's. Just think, in 10 or 20 years from now, we'll be looking back on these as the good old days. At least, some folk...

Instead of Twin Peaks, go to Oscar’s for food AND the beer. Oscar’s (was) and is- far, far better.. Especially their wings and pizza... Actually, the last time I was in Oscar's, I thought they had slipped, and others in the party thought the same. It may (hopefully) have been a one-off bad night si...

Richard Young/Lutheran Hospital closed and was taken over for a while by UNMC.
In my not so humble opinion, Omaha is still a nice place to live, but far too car-centric and not the place I want to stay when I finally do retire.

Well, after several wolf-cries, the weatherguessers finally got one partly right. We had maybe 3-4 inches on the grass. Grass, that is, as what hit the pavement melted immediately. All gone now.

Crime data should be a matter of public record. Easiest source should be any of various "city crime map" sites. Got access to ones from the 1980s through 2020? A quick Google search comes up with this: https://www.crimemapping.com/map/agency/271 There were several other hits as well.

Do keep in mind that they have (had? I haven't been there for some time) a very decent restaurant which obviously has a good cash flow, a decent hotel, and a very popular concert venue. The casino, on the other hand, is tiny and overcrowded on the weekends. If they are required to do things such as ...

I sure wish those in the position of being listened to would quit sensationalizing this issue until we find out for sure what really happened!

Was just trying to figure out why the obviously homogeneous suburbs are the way they are. People have a tendency to be homogamous, as in like seeks like. We appear to be wired that way. I was reminded yesterday of one common, arguably passive, example of racism which we see all the time. When peopl...
