Re: What does Omaha need?
Bring back a dinner theater in the Old market like The Firehouse was. Hard to believe it has been closed for 20 years if I remember correctly. That is based on it closing a couple of years after we moved back to Nebraska 100% agree.. And I’ll add- Bring back the HOWARD STREET TAVERN! Live music has...

Re: Nebraska Football 2023
Shedeur Sanders is the real deal. Fun to watch. Same as the team as a whole. No way nebraska wins next week. I won't be surprised if they're utterly embarrassed. First home game for Colorado, team and fans will be juiced. I'm scared for the Skers. I was 100% wrong about Colorado this year. I though...

Re: Nebraska Football 2023
I really can't believe they lost. Ugly game for sure, but it was totally within grasp. I disagreed with the call to go for the touchdown instead of the field goal at the end of the first half, and obviously the intercepted pass to try to ice the game. Just run the ball and punt. That just does not ...

Re: Massive Proposed Data Center Project - Lincoln
The more of these we get the more I have mixed feelings if they really provide the economic benefits. Just the first two phases of the Facebook data center in Papillion are valued at $286,772,688.00 I'm guessing that brings in some nice tax revenue? Google in Papillion is currently valued at $105,5...

Agreed, I would love to go this Friday, but with the heat, we may hold off for a few weeks. Everything looks great though. I go to GLM often and the heat is not a factor to most parents sitting in the open sun with no shade, as they watch their kids splash in the water. Getting sun bathed is good f...

Re: Lincoln Airport (LNK)
Nvm, LNK has a respectable list of destination options doing well, plus not having the airport as is would, reduce business and growth of the city. We don't want that, we want Omaha and Lincoln to be strong cities. LNK is surviving mainly by leasing land to warehousing and manufacturing. Passenger ...

Did you ever notice that with very, very few exceptions developments that are announced with massive fanfare end up as a non cohesive yawning mess? Not saying it is impossible but the smaller concept in Chattanooga appears to be because Chattanooga is one of the smaller US markets they are located in, and they still as a metro have over 500K. Used to be worth going to Hyvee, you’d spend a bit more but customer service, quality, and overall experience was better while shopping. However now I just can’t justify it, their prices are so much higher than other grocery chains around.
