Re: Oak View Mall (144 & West Center Rd)
I think the beginning of the downturn of Oak View was when Champps Americana went belly-up due to a corporate reorganization. It was always packed on Friday and Saturday nights, and people frequently went shopping if they had a 45 minute wait. Village Point didn't help matters either. That place ha...

They need to have banners and stand-alone signs in walkways talking up this expansion, at least by the time the Berkshire convention takes place. 1.) It explains why there's a mess everywhere 2.) Get visitors excited about what's happening Eh, that will work itself out. Either Buffett lives and the...

They just posted on Facebook that they are closing the Omaha location on Feb 27th…that didn’t last long. And this is why donating to Gofundme’s for restaurants is foolish (I know he refunded - I just mean in general). It doesn’t fix the fundamental issues that are going wrong with the restaurant.

Jeff Beals got a photo of them raising the yellow core tent yesterday. https://twitter.com/GrowOmaha/status/1760658665076351130 We drove by yesterday. On the margins, one area where Gretna may win out is season tickets. I’m betting a lot of season ticket holders would come from Omaha’s western half. And Gretna might make the difference for Lincolnites debating season tickets vs. occasional single game trips. This. If you don't have the TV market,...

Alright, so... The complaining about the suburbs is a moot point - Yates/Nebraska Crossing is the only entity that's pushing for this. It's not the city. It's Nebraska Crossing or nothing, from the sound of it. These are the developers (Yates) as well as the others pushing for this who have a vested...

Odds are, any new arena for an NHL team would be heavily subsidized by taxpayers. I'm not a fan of that.
