Re: Omaha Beltway Discussion
they would have to redo 370 like West Dodge though Bellevue and Papillion to make a belt way work, but it could work. Wasnt building the new US 34 bridge south of Bellevue part of the plan for the "Southern Beltway" at one point? Yes, here's a map of the route they are considering: http:/...

Interesting. Are they trying to make it a highway? Or just improving traffic? It would be like 72nd. 144th is also slated to be six lanes in the future. I took a look and couldn't find anything about it in the 2035 LRTP, but went back to the 2030 LRTP and found a map that showed that 180th was to b...

It's been said that Farnam was actually Omaha's original Main Street. I've heard that before. In fact, when I used to play SimCity all the time, I did that for my "Omaha" city (there's a thread around here somewhere on that) and made the highway pass north of the original town. Then as my...

No. It's too close to 120th, Old Mill and I-680. The Boys Town exit is a mess because it's a half mile from 132nd and 144th. Old Mill would have had to remain since it's pretty much the only way in and out of the area (they would have never redirected traffic to go 108th from Blondo) and that one is...

I thought these two paragraphs were especially interesting:

And if issues do pop up, the traffic signals can self-diagnose and ask for help.
