I was talking to one of the owners of the Waiting Room this weekend. Apparently they purchased a building across the street and just a bit west. They are planning 7 apartments on the second level. On the main level there will be a bar and some type of burger place. They have talked to Stella's abou...

Well it is Drake tomorrow night. They played well against Bradley, jumping out to an early lead. BTW, anyone else following Altman's Ducks? They are a serious buble team this year after going 8 and 2? Two years ago. If I remember correctly they had some sort of violation and part of their punishmen...

Sleigh Bells Slowdown April 14th
Looks like the Parrotheads and hipsters will be doing a bit of mingling in North Downtown that Saturday

I wonder what the interior floor plan is like? The north end has doors at different levels... I got a quick peek inside the other day. Â Lets just say they will have to do some serious work to make it a workable space for a restaurant or retail. Â Support pillars everywhere, not a uniform floor at...

McFoster's has chicken and sea food dishes as well as their heavily vegetarian menu.mgmlot93 wrote:My understanding is that McFosters is vegetarian. I have absolutely no reason to go to a vegetarian restaurant. I go to Block 15 for all their awesome specials - definitely not for their vegan offerings.

That is a great photo. Can you get any of the completed creek bed around Union Plaza? I am shocked there are not more photos highlighting this project! I think it is more that there is a 4 block stretch without a cross walk. A pedestrian bridge on~22nd that empties right into the sculpture garden could be a cool piece of public art and be useful once the area south of Dodge sees more action. Â I mean Millennium Park in Chicago has a similar stretch...

^^ I agree. Â In all reality this will never be a big shopping, dinning, or nightlife area. Â If all residential projects cover their own tenants and they have on street parking there will be plenty to go around in this part of Downtown. Â Heck the developer even mentioned coffee shops and small sto...

Yeah, this area of downtown needs the most work (maybe tied with 16th street). I know that other areas of downtown have kind of been labeled artsy areas, but I think this area has the most potential with Joslyn and The Rose. Actually, this part of downtown would be my first choice if the city ever ...

Workers on site. Were they actually working on this project or still using the land as a staging area for something else? There were probably 6 guys scatter throughout the lot. Re: "Gas Crisis"
With $4+ gas coming our way will anyone be changing their day to day driving habits? Does anyone else consider it a "crisis"? I only fill up every ~2.5 weeks so I am not too worried about it. I should also be biking/walking/taking the bus more often as the weather gets better so I am ho...
