Amazing photos...thanks for posting. As I have mentioned before, if anyone is mad at the pace of development of north downtown, take a look at these photos and you can see how much of a wasteland that area was in the 90's. Asarco was still present as well.

I am assuming it is going to go between Gentlemen's Choice and the Cox Solutions store on the north side of Dodge. Can't be any worse than the dirt lot that is there now and it sounds like a great cause (free lodging for families of cancer patients)

The main thing I have had a problem with is the strawberries having mold. If you eat them in 3 days or so you are fine....any longer and they always seem to mold. The only other frustrating thing is the bananas that are packaged in a bag, so you can't take any off if you don't like one in the bunch.

No, I was saying the HyVee's produce is better but much more expensive. For bananas, however, I might as well get them at Aldi's. HyVees bananas are always so green and I like them so I can eat them in the next day or so.

I used to go to Aldi's very sparingly but now with a with and kid with another one on the way, I find myself there almost weekly. They have the cheapest produce by far of any grocery store. Great to see the cranes up and construction well underway for Berkshire this year. That is a lot of eyes, many that have never been to Omaha before, seeing progress. Just wish we were going to have better weather this year.

CB has really done some great things in the past 10-15 years with their downtown. I have read and noticed that they have a different idea about the old buildings than Omaha does. CB tries to restore the buildings whenever possible, I am not so sure Omaha has the same mentality.

It is hard to tell from the construction cam but it does look like there are a bunch of panels on a trailer and also on the ground.
