Building Permit review almost complete for the Education Building.

I wish they could have built I-480 in a tunnel under the Missouri River. Like they did from into Manhattan Island. The skyline would look much more impressive without the Interstate bridge. Maybe in 50 years or so...

I was in Denver last fall and in the LODO area there was a lot of construction with tower cranes. Four cranes had different color lights that ran the length of the horizontal booms. Well, that explains why, when I counted the floors, I came up with 13 or 14. Even if the roof has a deck on it it does not count as a floor.

The FONSI (Finding of No Significant Impact) was issued this morning by the US Fish and Wildlife Service for the importation of elephants from Africa to zoos in Dallas, Kansas and Omaha. Now the Federal hurdles are over with. We shall see if lawsuits are brought by outside organizations.

Not sure how many classrooms the new education building will have, or what the projected student population will be. With a STEM emphasis, natural sciences, I would expect to see many lab classrooms.
