Re: Phi Kappa Psi house Redevelopment (36th and Farnam)
This is certainly breaking the mold of most recent east Omaha developments that provide roughly the same amount of parking as units. Between this and the Colonial, which has next to no dedicated parking, it will really put a test out there for how much parking developers need to provide and how wel...

Re: What does Omaha need?
Okay, but what Omaha does need is better mass transit to the airport. Here's the current city bus: http://www.ometro.com/index.php/route/route-16/ You'll notice it only runs on weekdays, 3 hours each in the morning and evening. That's pretty fraking pathetic. I flew back from the east coast last yea...

Re: Phi Kappa Psi house Redevelopment (36th and Farnam)
There are 50 parking stalls in a podium parking garage beneath the building. Between the 800 stall lot to the northeast and the 200 stalls to the southwest there seems to be ample parking for this building - kudos for finding shared parking solutions instead of building more surface parking. That's...

Now's the time to push for a return of sidewalks. (Pedestrian Lives Matter!) There are many places where two people can't pass each other. The return to a two-way street was the first step the neighborhood needed to rebuild, but now we need to take the next step.

Considering Lot B doesn't even fill up during the CWS... Lot D usually has hundreds of empty stalls too. Well, it doesn't fill up during an out of town event. Most of the people in the stadium pictured probably stayed in a DT hotel. But what about an in town event, like a Creighton game or a concert?

Thanks for the photos. That view may come in handy for updates on the hotel at Dodge and Saddlecreek as well :;): I would like to get up there often, but as people move into their offices in the Cancer Center, it'll be less likely each day. There's quite a bit of restricted space in that building.

I think I liked the color of brick better in the earlier rendering, but I also noticed that there are now 3 balconies instead of 2. The on-ramp going west still picks up after 20th, bridging over 24th. The on-ramp going east would be redevelope...

It's definitely a barrier between NDT and downtown. Really the only option to eliminate it as a barrier would be to build a tunneled section through the downtown area that would emerge before the Missouri bridge. A project like that would most likely be in the possible billions of dollars range, so...
