Re: 2019 Severe Weather Thread
That's healthy. I, by no means, would ever want a tornado to lay ANY town in shambles. I was in Joplin, MO a year after their big tornado hit. Believe me, Ive seen what a bad tornado can do. It's terrible. The power of nature can be shocking. The Greensburg, KS event makes me almost shudder. If I li...

I am almost surprised they would ever be willing to do that w/ that kind of structure. (The surpising Dallas photos really made it hit home for me, that this is actually a possible reality.) What about condo windows in those silos? What kind of people are attracted to live there? I cant imagine very...

Re: Oak View Mall - Redevelopment Plan
I think Oakview should follow suit to what Gateway mall in Lincoln has which is called round 1 family entertainment center. The Sears maybe would be a good place/entrance for a food hall for Oakview. Maybe the lower level could be the entertainment center. Gateway Mall did that? Gosh, back in 2013-...

I'm sure the Rain Forest Cafe has been talked about before for Oak View Mall. I dont think its a "far stretch" myself. I think a special, unique attraction like that is perfect to remake Oak View as a prime Omaha destination. A "pipe dream" is more... I would say... Wishing for t...

It wouldnt surprise me. I almost think they would convert the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant or the Chalco grain elevator or an old, unused Eppley terminal to condos if you let them.

Re: Oak View Mall - Redevelopment Plan
No problem. It’s great news for sure. Like I said now if Oakview can revamp the food court and fill the Sears with a family entertainment place then it would be a big drive to bring in even more traffic. Thoughts? I pretty much agree with you. The gloom and doom crowd won’t agree, but I think Rush ...

I was at the Fort Worth Stockyards recently when a storm hit and there was a torrential downpour, lightning/thunder, and a big rush of wind. Lights flickered on & off at the western show I was at. Telephone poles were down in the area. So, I got my "Storm fix!" I still feel thunderstor...

Ive never had a problem w/ Wendy's. Course, I only mainly went to the one at 127th-ish & L, and the one on about 42nd & Dodge -- not the ones mentioned. Maybe you should only try the new & remodeled stores? The one I go to here is new or remodeled. Their app has great deals & coupons.

Funny, I also thought of the PAN AM building in NYC, when I pointed out how unusually long Woodmen's logo has not changed -- and how that is not typical for any company at all. That's the only example that came to mind. However, your other two examples I didnt think of. That "Pan Am" logo/...

I absolutely love Aqua. It is one of the most beautiful and harmonious skyscrapers I have ever seen. And it was designed by a woman, which might explain it.
