Who doesn't like being around like-minded individuals? Of course. I belong to several organizations of like-minded people and we have a grand-ole time. But when an organization exists solely to sit around and b*tch about how fundies are ruining America, I don't view that as a positive thing. For th...

As a former resident of GI and whose parents still live there, I can verify that the city was never "mad" that Bellevue surpassed it in population. The local boosters simply pointed out that GI is not a suburb. Which is true.

MTO, maybe you're thinking of the Hall County number which is 55,500 (est. 2006). Anyway, nice steady growth.  But I'd like to see one of the tri-cities get a booster shot and pick up closer to 10,000 in a decade (instead of 2,000-4,000).  The infrastructure's certainly there to lure a major emplo...

Incidentally, the numbers for the other counties are:

Mills County:   1,048
Saunders County:   514
Harrison County:   79
Dodge County:   11

So all current metro counties weighed in with a gain of 55,508.

Add in Dodge County's whopping 11-person gain and the CMSA counties grew by a combined 55,519.
