I think the setbacks and streetscape within AV are well-suited to the development. "Green space" that just consists of long setbacks is generally just wasted. It's wide sidewalks, well-placed crosswalks, traffic-calming features, and signals/signage that make a real difference.

It's not beautiful, but I don't think it's that horrible. It's not much different than some of the newer buildings on the west edge of Old Market. It looks a lot more appropriate for Midtown than the rendering for Ekhard Court.

It's a shame many of the old RR right-of-ways were abandoned and divided up among adjacent property owners. Definitely not my taste in residential architecture, but this actually fits well with the other new developments in Little Italy (C02, SOMA, etc). I'm glad the owners found a good place to build and contribute to the neighborhood.

I wonder how the data would look in Omaha if you broke it out geographically around the city? With statistically-significant number of new higher-end units coming online in the downtown and midtown area, the average rent price is going to look higher, since a lot of the previous rental stock was low...
