Re: Big Lake

This is another papio dam phenomenon where we taxpayers build a lake and get a few acres of dirt for a park and the good land gets sucked up in commercial real estate. We get the West side of the lake. This means that the deep part of the West side with good road access becomes the giant marina pict...

States still cough up a lot. Nebraska has three big cost centers out side of medicaid, roads, prisons, and the university and not in that order. The problem the university poses to society is that the leadership is graded on new programs and buildings rather than economic operations. Why we have 3 u...

We have to keep in mind that floods of this severity have happened exactly twice since the end of the last ice age. 2011 and 2019. The 20th century saw 1 flood close to that level in the 1950s. From 1956 to 1998, there wasn't much flooding of the MO. At least that would threaten I29. You have to go ...

My great uncle was the farm manager for the racehorse farm that was there before. Maybe that is where they buried the failures? Now, like an "old Indian burial ground" it's cursed? They closed the salad bar and the spirits of the dead horses couldn't graze there and so they curse all the p...

Sounds about right. Nebraska might get a FG and Michigan might settle for 42.

Tiger sauce is also good on cheeseburgers. Once you get too hot of a sauce (like Dave's Insanity or DaBomb), the sauce makers forget flavor in search of maximum scoville units. They get boring pretty fast.

Will try Valentina's.

Uranium is seen in the NE part, herbicides in Central Neb, and nitrates are generalized.
