i agree with wags.  That's 4/5 of a city the size of council bluffs shopping and visiting/inhabiting a very small section of downtown Omaha.  THAT is a big impact.  But i also agree that they should still put in a museum district, too. I'll say compared to nothing, it's better.. But I just don't se...

Yeah, I was going to post this.  This sucks, but hopefully we'll get it on the ballot before too long.  UNL basketball needs this arena to help with recruiting, etc.

Well we already have one win.  We seem to get one or two wins in which we shouldn't.  Iowa and Colorado are in our conference in which we play a combined four times, and they are truly atrocious, so taking at least a couple wins from them is probable.  We play Texas Tech once, they lost to TCU wh...

Yeah that would be very impressive, I don't think any other coach besides Doc could take the players Nebraska has and win like we do.  Kenpom.com is projecting NU to finish 8-8 in conference play with that win over Missouri, but we'll see.

Also, it looks like prospect Jorge Diaz was a bust and he won't be here, that's not official but just what I am thinking.  This short team is scrappy as heck but the height would have helped out down low.

Nebraska started off league play today by beating Mizzou 56-51 at home, HUGE WIN.  Its definitely going to be a tough year for the skers so this is a good win, I am guessing they'll end up going 7-9 or 8-8 in the big 12.  Up next is at Ames, which is a MUST WIN considering our next three games are...

As it relates to the barely above college level baseball an Independent League team brings, like I stated, Omaha baseball fans know the difference between the highest level of minor league baseball (which we've been treated to for  50+ years) and the low end variety.. I really don't know if that is...

One other thing that we all need to keep in perspective here.  We just secured the CWS, one of Omaha's crown jewels, for a VERY LONG TIME.  This is a very positive development, and the negativity on here is driving me nuts.  Yes, I agree, the city and MECA could have been more open in this process,...

I"ll take a guess and say the stadium is the egg.  If this stadium is built without proper retail slots, the retail will not occur at the base of the stadium.  The stadium is beautiful but it looks like we're going to have to see development occur outside the parimeter's of the stadium.

^Agreed.  Could not ask for a better design on the ballpark itself, but its dissapointing there is no retail bays.  Also, I'm really glad they went with a more modern design instead of following the paths of many of the other ballparks being built right now which favor using brick and trying to re...

Other Cities are not MORE deserving.  Any city that will support an event at a high level is equally as deserving.  I don't care if a city has 10 million or 10 thousand, if the show up and support they event and can handle all the logistics they are equally as deserving.  Just because Nebraska is n...
