One thing to keep in mind is that there may be underlying development opportunities driving the America First proposal. America First wouldn't do this on a lark. Can you elaborate please? I guess I don't see where they would put up AF when they admitedly don't meet the selection criteria at the pre...

I have a feeling the RFP is going to be more of a formality and that that process will move quickly. It seems like Thownsend and Co. have been really on top of this and planning and communicating with the city. I see them being "chosen" relatively quickly in the "RFP" process. C...

The thing about the Townsend proposal is that it is so slender that it will appear way taller than what it actually is, which is definitely good. Yeah, can somebody (Linkin, Wags?) doctor a skyline pic with building that look like the ones proposed, especially the Pete Townsend building? That'd be ...

OK, guess I put my 2 cents in too. I think the Townsend proposal will rock. I'm overall satisfied with it now but also think it will only get better with future revisions. Also, I like that it will facing the way it was proposed. It'll be OK for coming from the east but should make for a great view ...

Well, hopefully if this thing is in the works, sufficient buzz will start soon enough to get the city to spill the beans in the near future. Think Grow Omaha Show, City Weekly, etc. And it is a pretty big deal so I can see where it would take a while but IMHO the time is at hand, especially if we wo...

Hopefully, we hear something soon but this project will come to fruition! I hope so. And so far Finn has been a very reliable source of information so I would tend to agree. Also, Fahey did elude to the fact he thought it would get done in the mayoral debate. Not that that necesarilly means anythin...

During the open house, River Front Place, Ross Rob (principal developer) mentioned that the city has $25 million to spend on the project. This is also what the price estimate range was, but as Ross put it, the city sent it out for bid and it came back at $47 million dollars, so nearly $50 million. ...

Theres been a couple threads on this but as the reports on this project are so few and far between, they're pretty old. They've been moving a little excavated dirt from the condos here and there but so far there doesn't appear to be any obvious indications that it is happening.
