I know.. I am old for my age! Poison, Journey, Boston, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi.... New stuff is either too hard to so whinny. There is no middle ground. Â Like Metallica... Originally, I had heard that it was going to be on Broadway, where the old Omaha Standard building was. I don't make much stock in that though. I would be willing to guess it goes into the Marketplace. There site plan has space for what would be a small Lowe's on the opposite side as J.C. Penny. An...

Re: Lowe's Council Bluffs?
I have not heard anything, I wish they would build it up north by the HyVee by big lake to spread out the city's development, but I bet it will be down south...Anonymous wrote:A friend who works at Lowe's in Des Moines told me they were going to build in Council Bluffs. Brad - There is a difference between architectural, structural, and cultural significance. Understood, however does it meet any of these? Â I like the bridge, but I also can imagine what it could be. Â I also don't understand why, if they move Saddle creek to the west and turn the current road back...

I know its an old bridge, but its not very architecturally significant.  To use your work streets, its Disneyland architecture.  Its  cast concrete with stone on it.  Kind of like you see in the new suburban subdivisions. If it can stay cool, if not, I know they can re-create it.  As long as th...

Re: Hungry for Local Food
Fellow forum members, where do YOU go for local ethnic food out west on weekends at 9:45 pm? Or is Omaha still too much of a "roll up the sidewalks at 9 pm" burg? I have never looked for Late Night Chineese, there use to be that 24 hour place on 60th an Center, but I am not sure if it is...

I don't see the big deal. Â Its Capitalism at its finest. Â The Good forums will do go and the others will fall off. Â Its not like there was only 1 forum and now there is 2. Â While this is the Biggest, probably the most active, there are plenty of others to fill more niche markets. Â I have at one...

Re: Omaha Central pulls off hat trick
I know you guys could probably care less, but I just have to represent my old school. Central won the state championship in football tonight, which means that they won the state basketball title, state track title, and state football title all in the 2007 calender year. Congrats to the Eagle...
