There is no comparison.  Maddow is a journalist, albeit left of center.  Limbaugh is an entertainer----If I were a right winger, I'd be embarrassed by his constant lying---he's a lousy representative for his cause.  I enjoy watching Maddow when I happen to be in front of the TV at 9 PM.  You can tel...

Their Grain Belt brand wasn't too bad, but by today's standards it wouldn't fly.  Grain Belt, like almost everything else back then, was a light lager.  The original Storz lager was before my time.

Have spoken to a few people in my company who've lived/worked in the Emirates, and I'm convinced that it (they) is a classic "Potemkin village".  The rule of law does not exist there since the nation is run by a prince and 4 assistants. There was recently a story about a Swedish designer ...

Lincoln Highway Centennial Rally in Kearney, June 30th

Found out about this tonight from a USA Today travel writer/acquaintance (Jayne Clark) who'll be covering the story; classic cars traveling from both coasts, roughly following the old Lincoln Highway route, or what's left of it.

Nice shots. The old post office was built around the same time as Omaha's P.O., and built in the same style. Donald Trump has plans to turn it into a Trump hotel. Update.  Rumor has it that the old post office was purchased by Hilton Worldwide, with plans to open it under its Waldorf-Astoria brand.

Was in Omaha recently for a couple of weeks (just after the swim trials) to see the family and stayed at the Hilton. Although I rented a car, I couldn't help thinking about the proposed "phase 1" plan, from about 3 or 4 years ago, for a light rail circulator downtown.  Considering the lack...
