CHI has been bleeding money slowly. Like the article stated, Nebraska and Iowa are one of their only profitable markets, and the row with BCBS only hurt them more. They are ripe for acquisition.

Also, they mention that there will be room to build an additional building for future growth, which I am assuming is the building in the background. So, it looks like parking won't be much of an issue for them.

I actually like this design more than their downtown version. It's going to be at least as tall as BCBS too, which will be fun I guess. I was still rooting for downtown, but this is much better than Boystown.

I'm not in too much of a hurry to see anything done on that corner. As long as they make it look nice for a while. Heck, they could put a big water feature on there or some landscaping and statuary and have it be a small park.

The attached map says the population of the annexed areas as of 2010 is a hair over 6000, so add that to our 2014 estimate of 446000 and that puts us up to 452000 - even with Virginia Beach, VA.
