Contractor referrals
Anyone have a good source for contractor referrals? I try Home Advisor and get nobody. I have tried other online sites like Angi and get similarly marginal results.

I saw the NFL delivered blockbuster ratings over the weekend. They had a very strong regular season. It doesn't seem like it will be fading away anytime soon: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33050695/nfl-regular-season-ratings-increase-10-percent-last-season Greg Considering that the four games...

They should put in a Cinnabon reference to either the gas station at Neb Crossing or the Schlotzky’s on Center where they are sold in Omaha.

Kenny’s was a chicken joint back when fried chicken was a treat on days other than Sunday. They served steaks as well, but they were more like Rose’s Lodge.

Consumption taxes are just sales tax. We already have one and we see people drive over to CB to save money because of it. Especially before the start of the school year. Cutting spending becomes harder as a lot of the spending is institutional and we either start shedding blood (cutting UNL’s trough...

It’s time to add a bike lane and a streetcar to I-29 heading to the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls so the people of Omaha can be well dressed. LOL! The streetcar to Sioux Falls! How about a monorail instead!? Macy's isn't quite as posh as it once was or is not at most locations. Wanting a Macy's for Om...

The sandbars are amazing by DeSoto bend. Was there last Tuesday. Lots of ice and they make a lot of noise, but all of the wing dikes along the Nebraska side have 50-75 yard long sandbars on the downstream sides.

The lead plume was north and east, but the contamination spread to far west of even the OM. Not saying that it was the only factor, but I was around when the buildings were there and they were not great. One would think that they would have some electronic warfare tool or other devices that could end this. Maybe security with a shotgun. Drone skeet practice. :D :D In WW2, bomber crews learned to shoot down fighters by learning to shoot trap from the back of jeeps or trucks. So, it wouldn’t be the f...

While I agree with this potential project, there's a sticking point. Iowa would have to partner up to build the road on their side of the river along with ponying up for half of the bridge construction. I really don't see what's in it for them. It's all for Omaha's benefit. I agree that could be an...

That was a slam against Deborah Meyer, the mousy blonde that was his competitor. IIRC, it got him fired. She moved from 3 to 7 and Carol Scott was brought in to steal back the weather girl thunder. Nebraska went from a 4 point favorite to a 1 point underdog. Suspect that Iowa will win by at least 7. The bookies have to edge on Nebraska’s side to get betting going. As I have said before, the one QB plan is a plan that is inherently weak and the remaining guys have no game experience. Going to b...

Nebraska needs to go back to a two QB system. When Martinez is sick or having another of his bad games, there needs to be a replacement that is not just “on paper”. The second stringer needs playing time and focus by the coaching staff so we can keep the offense running. Too much emphasis on star pl...
