The snow also started when it was warm. So we had a nice layer of water / ice beneath the snow.

Then we got the snow, plus artic winds. Temps dropped to -20.

And to cap it all off: Dodge near methodist had the water main break in the -20. So we had a real ice rink there for a bit I'm sure.
