I like how that guy they interviewed kept blaming his commute problems on the lowered speed limit on W. Maple. Negating the stoplights, considering the distances involved on that stretch of road, the 10mph reduction doesn't increase transit times that much.

If some sort of beltway around Omaha actually comes to life, hopefully the project doesn't stall after part of it has been constructed and become a system like you see in Denver.

You would probably have to bulldoze several houses to widen the stretch of Q street from 72nd to 84th considering that it goes through Ralston. Does I Street really get that much traffic considering that it's mostly industrial? I use the I St. onramp to I-80E all the time to avoid waiting at that st...

Don't remember the call letters or its location on the dial (I think it's in the low 90's FM), but Omaha has the best Jazz radio station I've heard (it trumps the stations in Chicago, St. Louis, and DC)  Whenever I'm in town, I'm not only listening, I'm jotting down artists names, etc.. Yup...96.1 The Brew is now something called 96.1 KISS-FM and seems to be a copy of 94.1 and 106.9.   I was shocked today. Omaha does not need another version of 106.9 and 94.1. 96.1 The Brew was the perfect in-between for 105.9 (too much old-fogey classic rock) and Z-92 (too modern/hard rock and Oz...

Apps like Waze and Google Maps are probably more reliable for traffic reports. Sometimes I wonder if people call in fake traffic wrecks or slowdowns to get others to avoid the area so that person can have a faster commute.
