Re: Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

That all white lion looks like he has some dark hair strands on the top of his head. I think that makes it a good chance that the dark hair will grow in places all over him as he gets a year or two older. I have seen all white kittens with just a spot of brown on their head or tail and then as they ...

Re: Kings Food Host

Kings died because their food was priced too high and the service was often slow. Burger King arrived on the scene and Mcdonalds began to multiply. By the mid 70's you could go into any Kings and the place would be deserted. Back then McDonalds and Burger King tasted a lot better then they do now. P...

Re: Strategic Air and Space Museum (SAC)

It should be the SAC museum.  Most of the displays relate to SAC.  Does make me feel old remembering the old 22 minutes and 30 seconds days of the early 70's, or the shock when active duty SAC pilots were living in Millard in the 80's during the nuclear freeze days.  I knew the cold war was over be...

The way South American, Central American and Mexican illegals are pouring into this country I think the real population figures are going to be much higher then 1.3 million in 2050. They might be just about running the place by then.

Has there ever been a restaurant or cocktail lounge in Countryside? The Market Basket has been open for decades, serving brunch, lunch and dinner. Also, Mt Fuji Inn and the Mai Tai Lounge were in the Market Basket location back in the 70's, until a fire inspired the move to 73rd and Blondo. Before ...

Omaha Live the TV show

This TV show started coming on after Saturday Night Live about a month ago. I don't know much about it but it was sure funny this past week. The part about the Mayor had me laughing hard. The mayor skit starts about 11 minutes in. I found it on UTUBE here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=200aTQ7Jyu4&...

The fact that he lasted there 20 years show he knows how to kiss up to the bosses as far as I am concerned! He would of never lasted that long if he didn't know how to smooch up to the bosses.
