Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield
As I was driving by the other day, I saw what appeared to be a 'West Dodge Expressway like' pier being erected to the south of the south parking garage. What's up with that? I assume we're not progressing towards separate drop-off/pick-up levels already.

What the #$@& is going on in Iowa?
I used to always envy Iowa's seemingly more progressive atmosphere (seen from across the river at least).. casinos, marriage equality, medical marijuana, etc. But lately, WOW is wrong with these people? Leading the nation on abortion legislation, stripping gun permit requirements, mask mandate ban.....
Re: Fiserv
How many employees did First Data and Fiserve have in Omaha separately before the acquisition? And how many do they have now? As to Fiserv numbers.. there were about 75 of us prior to merger. In other news, it's still very fluid and management is showing flexibility, but last date I got was now Sep...

I would expect any UP move to be more like ConAgra... with mostly front office people affected.

Pretty much the same story for both Nebraska and Iowa... no one coming into the state... and what we do have, moving from rural to suburban (so Omaha/Lincoln continuing to 'grow' at a respectable rate).

I probably brought this up in the past before... but why isn't Dillard's/General Growth working out a plan to re-locate to Westroads?? This just seems like a complete no brainer. I fear we're going to lose Dillard's entirely from the Omaha market. The one, somewhat respectable department store we ha...

It really is all about line play. It looks like we've got a solid one on the defensive side. However, our young offensive line obviously has a long way to go. We saw a few big plays, but NIU was largely winning the LOS. I sure hope things improve fast. Oh, and Pickering returns soon, ugh.

Iowa has a million extra rural residents to drive Des Moines growth. Des Moines will out pace Omaha on that alone for decades to come.
As fast as that growth is however, they won't exceed Omaha's size in my life time. Suck it urbandsm. ;)

When Firserv bought them, it was speculated that office jobs could be lost. I doubt that the data center complex or Starwood would go away. First Data card business in Omaha is safe. Re: Is the Omaha metro population growing faster than the US Census estimates?
Those are impressive numbers for Omaha, roughly half of Kansas City’s. Lincoln also has good numbers for its size, ahead of every metro in Iowa except Des Moines. Seems like Des Moines and Iowa city get the bulk of Iowa’s growth and then Cedar Rapids and Ames. But the rest of the states metro’s rea...

Re: Salt Lake City Light Rail and Commuter Rail
I read up on the history of the light rail in SLC. The first line opened in 1999. According to the 2000 census, the SLC MSA had about 968,000 people. Omaha is right around there right now. Also, SLC's BRT lines didn't start until 2008. This is a bit misleading... SLC is a little different, in that ...

Martinez doesn't need to improve at all.. that's a ridiculous assertion (his play is literally why he's received all the pre-season recognition).
