The angled glass façade, and slatted sides are almost certainly for energy efficiency / LEED considerations. Not the most exciting design in the world, but it'll be nice to have the addition to the skyline, and another LEED certified building around town...

Construction update: Work has finally begun on the Fareway meat market. Several additional dumpsters onsite, and workers are doing concrete cutting inside, in preparation for piping/electrical runs in the floor. The outbuilding looks fully enclosed, so I'm sure the trades are hard at work inside. Me...

Word has it that a Yin family establishment (aka Hiro88 and that group of restaurants) will be going into this development.... Nice to get something rather upscale in an area that is primarily chain restaurants.

The thing looks more like a mall, than a medical facility. The vast majority of their patients are either hospital bed or wheelchair bound, with the remainder just learning to walk again. Much easier on patients/staff if the facility only has 1 level, to provide access to all. Not that elevators do...

Are these buildings going to include the new trauma center, or is that yet to come? My understanding is that the new trauma center and expanded ICU will be remodel of existing space, not a new addition. The trauma center will be an expansion of the current ED space into the current laboratory space...

Everbloom, what appears to be a home décor retailer, has opened by the cleaners. They are doing what appears to be a parking lot expansion on the southwest corner of this lot. The area that was originally intended for an outlot business. Looks to be adding 1 more row of spots (maybe 6-8 spots total)...

I don't think that black on the bottom is the final finish. If I remember correctly from talking to Charlie and Jen that it was some sort of sprayed on vapor barrier...

That layout is nearly identical to the predecessor. Just replaced a couple of comfy chairs with a big table on the east end of the main dining space. Also looks like they're outfitting the former deli/market space with overflow seating.
