How the actual |expletive| did they take that amazing building and turn it into one of the ugliest buildings in Omaha? I thought they built it in the 1960s, I had no idea it was just a resurfaced older building.

Nothing special or interesting here. Just another inexpensive soulless box built on top of a parking garage. I find it interesting they are talking about foot traffic but the development has 300 parking spaces for 200 apartments. You dont get density and foot traffic by creating 300 space parking lots. It’s so stupid how Omaha keeps fighting public transportation. I live somewhat in this area and I take O...

Steamboats on the Missouri River
(Moderator Note: This was split from the Gallup thread) Slightly off topic, but I wish we utilized the river more with steamboats (not actual steam just in that style). A steamboat style boat that goes from downtown Kansas City to downtown Omaha might be a unique experience. It is roughly 250 miles ...

The city should work with a developer to turn most of Central Park Tower into affordable housing. The first 2 or 3 floors could be for services and overfill office space for the courthouse.

A few nights ago I went with a friend and we parked on the south side of The Great Wall of Brickline. Why is there still a gate separating the park from connecting to the Old Market on the trail? I know we love new developments and tall buildings, but is it getting out of hand in Omaha? It seems like everywhere these 5 over 1 buildings are popping up. Get ready for another 5 story fake brick facade apartment building starting at 1.2k. But it’s okay because they have a coffee shop on the ground floor literally no one will use and will keep swapping out failing shops every year! We need more of that for sure!
