I really hope this one gets built, but wouldn’t be surprised if the 10-15% spike in material/construction costs has forced them to delay the project. Some developers are finding they need to increase the number of rentable units and even increase the overall building size or height to help offset th...

Re: Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge (Part Two)
The fact that HNTB Corporation designed the original pedestrian bridge bodes very well for this project as they were originally chosen for their ability to bring in a good design on budget. They succeeded very well and I fully expect this new design to be far more than utilitarian. Having experienc...

This leg of discussion maybe good to break-out of 2022 weather and move to Current Events or General Discussion, but here’s a good article about the Daylight Savings Time Debate. To me, the metal sculpture headed for the new GLM kind of looks like a giant abstraction of the tiny sars-cov-2 virus. I don’t know if that was the artist’s intention, but it will remind of that, and the time’s we’ve lived through recently. If an artist says it’s art, it probably is. I’ll reserve my...

To my untrained eye, if the floor plates of the St. Joe Hospital can be repurposed residential, then a willing party should be able to make MOO floor plates work.
