14th Street What If...?
What if in 2011-2012, 14th and Superior was not turned into a roundabout? -Instead, the intersection is left the way that it had been for years; As a traditional intersection with traffic lights. The horizontal lights are swapped out for the more common vertical ones. -14th Street itself is widened ...

Re: Daylight savings time
I preferred Daylight Savings Time they way it was before 2007 when it was only from the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October. They should've just kept it that way.

Re: Nebraska Football 2023
Nebraska left the Big 12 because of Texas. And now in the Big Ten, Wisconsin is the new Texas. It's like they traded one evil for another.

Re: Shopping Mall What ifs
Here's a hypothetical scenario: It's 1994-95 and plans for a mall in northwest Lincoln are made. Yes, there are houses in that area now. But there weren't back then. It was still technically the boonies. So what if in 1994-95 a mall had gone in on 1st Street and Purple Heart Highway where I-180 end...

Okay, enough about California. Let's get back to the topic at hand - Oak View Mall. In my personal opinion, having only 2 wings leading to Dillard's and Younker's wasn't enough. JCPenney's and Sears both should've had their own wings leading to them as well.

Re: Oak View Mall - Redevelopment Plan
Open-air shopping centers may have their use in the summer. But in the winter, they can't be very popular. I always speculate that it's Hollywood. Oak View Mall Timeline 1, Original Timeline -Oak View Mall opens in October 1991. It has 2 levels. Its only main anchor department stores are Dillard’s and Younker’s. Ever get the feeling that referees are power drunk? I'm not necessarily talking about Nebraska, but college football and the NFL in general. It seems like every few seconds or so, they'll throw a flag on the field and call a penalty.

Re: Nebraska Football 2023
I actually thought Nebraska had a shot to win this game. They had no business losing it. Nebraska's quarterback play today was terrible. I wonder if Simms or Purdy can take some snaps if things go south next week? Jeff Sims got benched for that very reason. That's why Heinrich Haarberg took his pla...

I think I'll go to another parallel universe where Oak View is still booming and bustling and it's bigger. JCPenney's and Sears both have their own wings leading to them just like how Dillard's and Younker's do (or did). Both Sears and Younker's are still there. Neither Sears nor Younker's' parent c...

Nebraska won. That's great. I'll admit, though, when Purdue scored those 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter, I was a little worried. I was afraid they might come back and win it. Nebraska had a bit of a meltdown in the 4th when they let Purdue score those touchdowns.

Re: Nebraska Football 2023
Right now, Nebraska's up 14-0.
I changed the channel from FS2 where the Nebraska/Purdue game was shown to FS1 where it's continuing. And I caught the very end of the Oklahoma/Kansas game. And Kansas just upset Oklahoma 38-33! So Oklahoma's no longer undefeated.

I would like to see the food court come back to life. Right now, it's only half open. Bring back Burger King, Arby's, Subway, DQ/Orange Julius along with a few other places like either Taco Bell or Amigo's. Not happening. They all went broke when the mall actually had more traffic than they do now....
