There's some interesting things happening in this new rendering. Taller garages, taller residential buildings,...

That is a bit of a bummer. I guess the schedule gets a bit lighter, but Denver and North Dakota were always annual highlights on the schedule and I assume there may be some seasons neither come to town.

Wow, wouldn't want to be those guys. On a side note, my sister dated a guy who was the lead crane operator for Midtown Crossing (obviously much shorter than this project) but he sent me pictures from working up in the cab all day....no thanks. This project caused me to look up videos on the cranes....

I doubt an expansion is being considered at this point and they would surely need a massive extension on the deal to host from the NCAA to do any sort of major project. Went to The Flaming Lips last night and just echoing the praise. Impressive venue that had a lot of thoughtful design choices. My only minor complaint was the entry line was a bit awkward, but I am sure that the kinks will get worked out. As an aside, sure it's not the Swim Trials at the same time a...

Can someone please explain mass timber buildings to me? I’m not knocking it, I just don’t understand. I thought this building was going to be mostly made up of wood. Then why is this method so very rarely used? Cross laminated timber or CLT, a main component of this construction type, wasn't invented for lack of a better word until the 80s or 90s, and building codes were slow to allow it. Now that it is being proven out and a more robust supply chain has develo...

Can I just ask a basic question? What is the purpose of building exclusively with wood? Is it stronger than steel and concrete? My intuition tells me that is just not true. Then there is the entire matter of susceptibility to burning to ash in a fire. Mass timber or CLT is graded out to basically t...

Nothing will happen anytime soon (probably 5 years) but I was told they aren’t going to renew leases once they expire and will redevelop in some form. No details on what specifically.

Just saying that scale is much more reasonable than to expect some sort of tower out of this. I would also expect setbacks from the street for safety concerns.

Interesting new listing. The scale of this building is almost as tall as HDR.
