Re: Downtown core population- hits 7000. People moving downtown

For perspective, interest rate on my first home mortgage was 11.5% in 1990. 🤣 Of course it was also for an 1800sq ft trilevel in Millard for only $78k as well (which Zillow shows at $300k today) 😢

Valentine's Merritt Reservoir designated International Dark Sky Park

Kind of old news for those of us to which it's near and dear.. Merritt Reservoir south of Valentine was named the 200th International Dark Sky Park in the world. This is not an easy designation to obtain, took diligent efforts by a number of people in Nebraska, including members of the Omaha Astrono...

Would be cool if the river had boat access to that. Make a real marina. The existing marina on the north end of Lewis and Clark Landing has been restored, but perhaps you're referring to the lagoon surrounding the fountain, which we've been told over the years would be impossible, most notably, the...

Holding off on getting too hyped because 1) White Lotus track record and 2) prior plans were very mediocre. But if Civic Site White Lotus 2.0 is worth something to get...

Welcome to the forum, Stvbec. Indeed, for our size, we've got a lot of stuff going on. Of course it's no less likely (ie just as much of a fantasy) than blackrock's removal of I-480.. I'd rather see a tunnel like that of Phoenix's Deck Park Tunnel to allow for development between Midtown and East Park (or whatever they're calling it now).
