Re: Homeless Hostile Architecture - NYC
Two points here... First, I'm not sure where you've equated the refugee population with being homeless. Just because they're refugees doesn't mean they come along and live on the streets. They generally are receptive and receive help to start productive lives here. Second, and maybe a hot take, but ...

What a bizarre proposal. Part of the reason you live in a tower like that is for the views. What is out here to look at? Even if they are trying to build $3 billion worth of stuff, why here? I'm sure the land is cheap and Gretna seems like it would sell it's soul to anyone helping them expand, but i...

I heard the release was somewhat disappointing due to game chunking and having to crank the graphics wayyyy down. That's what I was afraid of. Cities:Skylines 1 was pushing my "gaming" PC to the height of its capabilities. With improved graphics and a more complex simulation I had a hunch...

That sounds really nice! 😊 Did this train go through Omaha? I thought that the California Zephyr only has coach, and the private rooms. I'm not aware it's business class seats on that route. Nah, I rode it from St. Louis to Chicago and then Kansas City to St. Louis, so the Lincoln Service and the M...

Did you travel coach or in a private room? I traveled coach on the way out and Business Class on the way back. Coach was nice. The train car was new and much easier to spread out than on an airplane. Business Class though seemed much nicer than First Class on an airplane. I got a single-row seat, s...

Roads that are designed to be uncomfortable to drive at high speed as well as greater protection between different modes is how we are looking to prevent deaths and serious injuries.
Even if pedestrians are being irresponsible it’s better if the result is they are mildly injured instead of killed.

I know this is an apple to watermelon comparison, but Denver is renovating and expanding again with a plan to add up to 100 more gates. Elimination of the Electoral College instantly turns 35 of the states into second class citizens as NY, FL, TX, and CA can easily outvote entire states. No state would outvote another state if there isn’t an electoral college. That’s the point of getting rid of it. Really? Stop and think about that...

In 1876 St. Louis City separated from St. Louis County to become an independent city-county. Because all the county government buildings were in St. Louis City, St. Louis County now needed a new county seat.
