Re: 2024 Weather Thread
I've enjoyed this rain. It probably won't help for long, but my allergies have really started to ramp up in the last week or so, and that warm, dry, and windy weather was really not helping.

Re: 2024 Weather Thread
Based on the NWS and WOWT, I'm expecting a half inch +- .10". It's not much, but something is better than nothing. It could rain like we expect tomorrow the rest of the month straight, and we'd still be in a deficit. I cant exactly attest how far behind we are over the last 3-5 years, but I'd g...

I would love Omaha take bigger chances with some of our urban development sites. This site is a mere 3 acres. We have several developable lots in the urban core that are two to four times that and there is nothing even remotely close to this kind of density currently proposed or even contemplate fo...

I still think if we had this on the table here or in CB, it'd be a different story. I don't think anybodys pointing and laughing at OKC if this actually happens. I say good for them, swing for the fences.

I would guess our last one was last fall too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was back on July 4th. I'm sure it stormed since then, but that's the last one I actually know of. It's starting to come into focus for the NWS now. They're saying .57", which would be another fair rainfall two weeks in a row. It's saying something since these things are so hard to come by the past year or two.

Re: Daylight savings time
I'd say most of us would like to have the extra daylight to actually do stuff. You proved my point right there. I said it before, we don't gain an hour. There is no extra daylight other than what naturally occurs, which is about 2 minutes per day until the summer solstice. DST is a fabrication. You...

I could not care less about which clock setting they used. Just choose one and leave it. I’m of the same thought process. Oooooooh, thinking of pineapple pizza, if Totinos made a pizza roll in Hawaiian style, I'd totally try it. It would have to be better than their cheeseburger roll. Not just processed food, but ultra processed..which if eaten with any regularity (even a time or 2 a week) is poison for your health. I hope this sparks some conversation. So, the healthy choice steamers have been some of my go to frozen dinners, particularly the steak and potatoes one.
