So Yates is either Wallstreeting or Shamrocking us which is fine but in the mean time the parking lots NEEDS resurfacing somn' fence. A friend and I just went to Applebee's and the craters nearly |expletive| the car up. Oh yeah, we're getting Wallstreeted pretty good. I expect the old Best Buy to b...

Omaha Public Libraries
Just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on where Omaha's public libraries are headed. For a city that certainly has had a cultural awakening over the past decade or so, it seems that the public libraries have been left behind. The only upgrade that I have seen in years came in the form of DoSpac...

I don't get the sauce at Raising Cane's. I've heard/read that it's the greatest thing and the reason many like the place so much. I've tried their food -- the chicken is fine but I don't taste anything in the sauce -- definitely not something that would bring me there (or push me away, for that mat...

Tax payer financing is only fair if the taxpayers get part of the profit. If rich guy X wants rich guy Y to buy into the investment, he has to sell him some stake in the deal. Why should we be going without stuff to finance this and then let him make all the profit? This was a bad idea, and I am gl...

The Best Buy is still open in the original location as of January 30th. They are still working on the old Toys R Us. I was told by someone that works there that they are aiming for an opening on March 18th or 19th. They will be closed for a couple of days while everything gets hauled over. Well, th...

It is a single family neighborhood It is not just a single family neighborhood. There are businesses and a 228 unit 21 story high-rise on the block. The new apartments will sit in the shadow of that high-rise that was built in the 60's. It sounds like the right fit to me. http://www.elmwoodtower.co...
