Re: Downtown Development Update from City Hall on 3/14/24
700 apartments. Is this a guess or…? 350 on the left and 350 on the right. Roughly. Central Park Plaza renovation? Correct. I’ll sure feel dumb if a curve ball is thrown and this isn’t it. Well you were pretty accurate when we were speculating on the library site… but a curveball where CPP is in th...

Re: Downtown Development Update from City Hall on 3/14/24
Maybe I'm reading too much into the word "update" but that would make me think it's not something new. Of course the police/fire headquarters rfp is well overdue for an update. And I'm all for 10+ stories at 10th and Harney but would that really involve a press conference? 1416 Dodge? I'd...

Re: Downtown Development Update from City Hall on 3/14/24
I’m siding with 11th and Harney. 1. The recent soil sampling that was done, and 2. There already was kind of a release about the Civic site. For a press conference to be called, I’d have to think that entails something “new”. Edit: if it IS 10th and Harney (or the old UP site), it will be more than...

I've said it more than once and I'll say it again. I hate this development so much. I live in Piedmont Wycliffe and had high hopes that this would have more soul than what is being put out here. That Mahogany building looks no different than the L Street Marketplace which has a rotation of differen...

I'm getting antsy on this project. haven't heard anything more on the turnback tax being approved. if they want to hit 2026, they will need shovels in the ground by Spring or early summer. Yeah, it hasn't got out of revenue committee yet from what I am seeing. I believe the relevant bills are LB621...

Rumored 60-80 unit apartment complex going at this location. In design phase. Design still has to be completed and land acquired before anything firm to be announced. If it happens, it would be some great infill along Leavenworth next to Cosgrove, Leavenworth Lofts, and all of the activity happenin...

I wonder what that will be, since it’s marked as “entertainment” A movie theater wouldn’t make sense, between close by Aksarben and even the size dwarfing a 16 screen theater at 67,000 sqft that I looked up for a comp. The blue square shows as 92,500 ground floor tenant space. Not sure if this is one large retailer or will be broken up into smaller spaces. Also shows a second story as a rooftop parking. Hopefully, they will add more floors to this in the future. At least if the second floor can handle the weight ...

I'm confused because in the planning documents, it shows close to 1300 residential units. And the first phase looks like 250 residential units and 250 senior units. Are the rest of the residential units in the following unannounced phases? Correct, the numbers we've been given are at full buildout ...

Ground floor retail, half office space / half hotel. Assuming FNBO would have occupied the office space anyways. With the Woodman Tower coming online a few years later and us having both a 30-story and a 36-story by 1970, I wonder if there would have been more aggressiveness in building upwards? Ma...

The city better be getting some form of revenue if we're expected to own and operate a parking garage in a private development like this.

Now, where might that hotel be? I think it's time for the reconsideration of redeveloping Lot B. Yeah it’s gotta be the lot B area.
