Re: Internet choices for the greater Omaha area
I had Cox forever, and had zero issues. Besides the annual call to get the plan switched around so that I wasn't paying $100+ a month. Tried to go CL, but I didn't like their customer service on the sales side. My motto: If the sales department sucks, you're really going to hate their technical serv...

I have heard from others that a major tech company will be establishing major operations in Omaha, in 6 months or so. This company has a larger market share than Facebook. In 6 months or so, this announcement will be made in the news and will make many very happy. Nothing deeper can be shared on th...

Re: Downtown Soccer Stadium (Abbott Drive)
This seems like a good spot for it. Been an empty field since the inception of the riverfront. Though it'd be cooler if it was a NFL stadium :;): gotta take what we can get. I'm actually hoping we have a path for it to be an MLS stadium someday. But then again, I actually enjoy real football over A...

highways lead to more houses and businesses that pay taxes. Systems like streetcars don't generate more than they cost, thus the lack of development. The houses might pay taxes, but nearly enough to cover the highways needed to connect low density sprawl. The streetcar / rail is more solvent, not l...

I know the owner personally. Good dude. Makes a mean drink. The name started out as a joke from the TV show new girl. On the show they play a drinking game called true American where there are no rules and everyone gets hammered. From what I have gathered from him the bar is an ode to the 1970s. Ya...

Honestly if you choose that name you must have an idea as to the thoughts that will cross people's minds when they hear it. Even if it features "American spirits, drinks, etc" I don't think the name conveys that intent. I'm not trying to be difficult, but from a marketing standpoint it's ...

Bagels aren’t a health food, any more than donuts are. But I like them on occasion, mostly for what you can add to them to make a sandwich. I like mixing things up at breakfast (my favorite meal of the day), and while I may only eat 2 or 3 bagels in an average month I do appreciate the variety most...

If that’s the name I wonder if the owners considered what a divisive name that would be to call a bar and grill? I would reiterate as well, existing condos just do not boast the same amenities some might expect. From what I've seen in more condo heavy markets, there are all sorts of amenities condos downtown do not provide. Arguably, condo developers in Omaha don't have much competition, ie. no motivation to ...

The snow also started when it was warm. So we had a nice layer of water / ice beneath the snow.
Then we got the snow, plus artic winds. Temps dropped to -20.
And to cap it all off: Dodge near methodist had the water main break in the -20. So we had a real ice rink there for a bit I'm sure.

On that, I agree 100%. I think if someone really wanted to, they could have a couple new condo buildings go up and would sell fast. The one hang-up here is that I feel like young people don't want to wait for something to be built to buy. They want to see it, buy it, and move in next week (not quit...

Idk what Atmosphere was hoping for, but it sounds like if you’re seeking super hot (I wasn’t) then maybe you’ll be left disappointed. I wasn't really expecting super hot. I've eaten enough American "spicy" food to know 99% of the time it's like a 5/10 to me. Or it's scotch bonnets wrapped...
