It appears that the remaining floors will be built in an "L" shape, lining up with 12th Street as well as Jackson Street.

I just heard the building was sold to someone else (a different real-estate investor) and now Charleston's is out.   They may even tear the former OCB building down. I can't make any sense of that.  The OCB "building" isn't its own building, for one thing.  It is part of the ToysR Us bu...

I have heard (but not confirmed) that the restaurant has always had an extreme sweetheart deal with the city of Omaha.  They pay like $5,000 a YEAR in rent!  Someone serving rat poison as food, who never ever needed repeat customers, could still make a good living with that sort of arrangement.  ...

I just flipped on the TV and WOWT was doing one of the "non local" stories later in the news.  I left it on that channel and NBC nightly news did the same story?  Don't they communicate?  Why would WOWT run the same national story that NBC is going to run?  Its not like it was big time ne...

I almost wish the salacious rumors about Jim were true.  It would add a little bit more color to local TV media personalities.  Color that used to permeate local media personalities 25 years ago and earlier.

That wasn't exactly a recent photo the W-H used in their story.  And the story said nothing about the makeup of the new place.  Nothing about the menu, or prices, or theme.  I guess what do you expect from the W-H? It opens too late to take advantage of holiday parties, as pretty much everyone books...

I wish them success.  However the restaurant theme is odd, and I don't see it as one that will attract many people.  And poor service will turn people off faster than mediocre food.  Lets check back on this thread in a year and see if they are still around, or whether the train leaves the station...

I don't think that the exterior of the building is the responsibility of the tenant.  And other than putting a metal railing and outdoor seating, plus a rather attractive neon sign, I don't think the building exterior was changed at all since Jazz signed their lease.

I love the building but HATE the purple, green, yellow paint job. I will second the question.  Are you serious???  The restaurant is the closest thing to anything located in or near the French Quarter that I have ever seen anywhere else in America.  And for the most part I truly love the food. Â...
