Often overshadowed by Omaha, Lincoln has some great places. My favorites are High Peak Asian, Copal and Le Quartier. What am I missing?

Re: Trader Joe’s coming to North Downtown-
Trader Joe’s was one of the selling points for me when I bought my condo. I can walk there (and to 2 other grocery stores, and Lidl is coming soon). Can I get everything I need from TJ’s? No, but I could manage if it was the only store available. I always thought Omaha could support 3 or four of the...

My first thought——-who would want to live there? Aside from an occasional trip to a discount outlet mall, I really don’t think there’s much nearby. I can’t imagine living that far from stuff that makes life interesting, but hey, whatever; it’s their money.

Not so much a beef with the airport, but my experience with the car rental companies there has been the worst. Over the last several years I’ve had a hard time getting even a mid sized sedan. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but Eddy(Galas) had a fine dining restaurant on South 24th called Eddy’s near 24th & N for decades. For a long time, this place, Short Stop, Marcio’s and Johnny’s were(I think) the only “nice” places in S.O.. Sometime after I moved away they switched to catering...

Two things from my perspective - my brother in law owns the hybrid electric-ish Jeep Wrangler. Probably cost him $60k plus. He's had it about 2 years and honest to "whoever your faith is in" it's been in the dealership shop more than he's been able to drive it. Something to do with having...

As was stated the U.S. is not a democracy. It's a democratic republic, or if you'd prefer, a representative republic. Very few issues are decided by a direct vote of the people. We elect representatives who decide on issues. If we don't like that we can change the constitution or vote current repre...
