Re: Mercantile (Conagra campus development)
Yeah those aren’t comparable at all. Ones a suburban office with bushes thrown into it and the other is a thought out design with trees and other vegetation. This kind of design is very in right now with many new skyscrapers weaving nature into buildings. The new rendering looks a lot more unique th...

So council bluffs is settling for the Baxter plan, 7 stories for the tower site. Disappointed but I get it. It's about 200 apartments, so it's sa good number of units added to the riverfront. Public discussion is scheduled for the 24th. Lots b, d, and e will be developed by Broadmoor, townhome styl...

Nebraska got lucky not having the interstate on our side. I-29 completely cut off Council Bluffs and ruined their chances of a thriving core across from Omaha. It also does not bring much business along its route, Iowa along I-29 is a wasteland.

Yeah I doubt they’re going to tear down 2 towers because a view of a park was blocked. We still have lots of empty lots downtown the only way these would be torn down is if Omaha gets some massive boom in population or downtown revival. I think these will last a long time, the DoubleTree would be to...

I really don't care for the parking garage portion of it. I like the rest, but the parking garage detracts from the rest. I hope they sacrifice a few parking spots in order to round the facades some in order to make it look more part of the overall building. I enjoy how phallic the parking garage m...

God what a lame proposal. I hate when developers absolutely ignore what cities are asking for on lots. They really thought the city would just accept their boring suburban idea out of desperation. Curious if other developers are also eyeing the lot right now.
