Re: Idea For A Graphic Design For New License Plates In 2017

Sower gay or sower guy?

Big difference, Grandpa.

If it was sower gay, that satchel would be much more fashionable.

Plategate: Whose Sower is it? Local artists say Nebraska’s license design more closely resembles
a relief sculpture at Michigan State image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Man, they sure did screw that up! Looks like Ricketts will be a one-termer now for sure. Time to start over on the plates. Really? ...

Re: Nebraska’s Top 10 Snobbiest Cities

Lol. Wymore/Blue Springs... It's not a terrible town. It's basically a typical rural Nebraska town that's lost 20-30% of their population since people started fleeing rural communities in the 80's. It's not too depressing, but it's very obvious that it's not what it once was. (Actually, the Blue Spr...

Re: Idea For A Graphic Design For New License Plates In 2017

I made another custom Nebraska plate. I enlarged the images and used black serial codes instead of brown ones. I've even included a sunset-like effect. I'll admit this isn't the best design in the world. You may not like it, but I think we can all agree it's better than the one that will be issued ...

Sort of looks like he's choking a goose in his pants.

Overall, I'm indifferent on the design. Doesn't look very inspiring, could look worse. Maybe inductive of how creative the state is, in general.

I'll have to reserve any judgement for when the building is complete. I think the rendering looks bland, but they often times do. The thought of tearing down DoubleTree for better access isn't too far fetched. The city will eventually extend 16th street across the Missouri River where it will connect with I-680. I'd imagine Omaha wanting to turn 16th st into a major gateway to the city. You simply cannot be serious. The city ...

I'm sure it is, and I'm too lazy to sort through the thread to confirm that, but I also think there could possibly be long-term possibilities for that site.

Between those two local fortune 500's, it's probably the last hope for any local corporation to build anything significant downtown/midtown.

I'd be interested to know how the size of Omaha's urban core, where there is a certain degree of density with mid-high rise structures, compares with other cities its size.

There may be a few small gaps, but the core basically stretches from north downtown to UNMC, if I'm correct?
