Re: NuStyle Owned lot NWC 20th/Farnam
I wish they would clean up that public parking area. When we were down there just 2 weeks ago, there is broken glass everywhere, and bums sleeping under the layer of the parking area.

Just watched the segment from KETV tonight about the beam signing and Stothert said there is much more to come for Omaha development. No specifics provided but between this and her recent segment on grow Omaha, she has me excited.

Re: Creighton Basketball 2023-2024
Man, I thought selling the Omaha March madness tickets for a huge gain would be way easier. I was trying to list them as all-session on tickpick but no one is buying.
If anyone would like to buy them, just let me know, I could save you a ton on fees....even if it is just for single game.

I know that there are a ton of great players out there, but Kolek made 2nd team and Newton from Uconn made first team. Baylor is better than Newton is almost every single category.

I vote that they should build this for the new control tower: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/61jgTh3pX2SxiZGggrUIb7getc17iN7eTnY-2JTGPOClwPtxoBTzjkX54waZTcX_zQ only joking, if anything, maybe they will update some of the technology they use in the control tower, but definitely not building ...

This is the area that I am most excited to see what the streetcar can do. We go to shows at the rose and that stretch of Farnam looks absolutely sad. Thankfully the hotels a few blocks down were built but this area leaves a lot to be desired. Also wish that they could tear out the building where the...

Re: Cheddar's (2 Omaha Locations)
We just went there a few weeks ago for the first time in probably 4-5 years. I remember when they first opened, the prices were very low especially for the amt of food that you got. Like everywhere else that has changed. Still a decent value but nothing amazing like it used to be. The food overall w...

Re: Creighton Basketball 2023-2024
Was hoping for a game in Salt Lake City, mostly because airfare is much cheaper from Omaha. I have Thurs and Fri off and was thinking of going but the cheapest round-trip is almost $900 which is pretty high for a domestic flight. Not to mention, hotel, food and game tickets it could add up really qu...

Re: Omaha Streetcar Discussion
Most streetcars have a max speed of 30-35 mph, some can go up to 45. I just think when you do research (and even listen to how the streetcar in Omaha is being funded) as much as it seems like a no-brainer, that is a long stretch that probably isn’t going to lead to more development. If that is the c...

I don’t think it’s unpopular necessarily but a very costly extension that would be nice, but even if that ever did happen, it would be at least a decade or 2 away.

I’m glad I played basketball last night instead of watching. Sucks that they went 20-20 and then once tv showed that stat, they missed 3 in a row when it mattered. Tough game for the Jays tonight. Battled back from 13 down and actually lead but only to miss 3 consecutive FTs and upset the game away.
At least I can live a normal life the rest of the weekend and not stress about a game.

So with that added height, it might change the ranking for these buildings in the city of Omaha. According to Wikipedia, these buildings rank 14th and 15th tallest, but with just an added 18 feet they will move to 12th. With 27 more feet, they Will move to 11th.

Re: Downtown Development Update from City Hall on 3/14/24
I think the math should be 550 units since 150 is being built on top of the garage. That's about 800 sq/ft/unit for the units in the towers. Heistand said $900 starting, up to $1500 for one beds. Ah yeah, you're right. $900 wouldn't be bad at all. $1,500 definitely getting up there. He did mention ...

What was the number the mayor threw out regarding development since the streetcar was announced? Something over $1 Billion, the original estimates stated that over a 15 year period it would be somewhere near $2 billion, so we are well onto our way to that figure. I am assuming they are counting, the...
