Re: Oak View Mall - Redevelopment Plan

I've worked at Westroads for the last 15 years, and the mall traffic is down and the demographics have changed. Since 12/5/2007, the mall is not as robust as it was. As for the criminal activity that took down Crossroads (IMO), Westroads keeps that pretty well in check. Off duty Omaha Police on week...

Re: Shadow Ridge Golf Course Rezoning Proposal opposed by Ridges homeowners

Unless there is some type of zoning restriction or overlay district restriction in place, or flood-way easements, there is most likely nothing to stop private land from eventually being developed, unfortunately. Nobody is guaranteed to always have a nice view from their property indefinitely, witho...

I generally agree with this idea. For grocery stores. But I disagree with it being used in places like hardware stores, clothing stores, and other non-food businesses. Which catagory would a store like a Walmart SuperCenter or Super Target fall under? Walmart derives a minimum of 50% of their busin...

Saw on Facebook that OPD Able 1 might move it’s operations from the North Omaha Airport to the Blair Airport. Anyone have any more details? I know that one of the pilots lives in Blair. It makes more sense to me that they move to Millard or they could always build a hangar at the training academy o...

Opened up the door to allow developers to use it. The positive with occupation taxes are that they are a use tax so if you don't want to pay it you don't have to.
