Yes, the architects I spoke with last fall were from Alley-Poyner, they're planning a complete gut/remodel.

I read on the comments section of that article that the average cost per unit to remodel was over $300k. I find that very hard to believe, but if it's true I don't see how the owner is ever going to recoup their investment especially in a part of town where it will be hard to find renters that won't...

Yep, those two east bays, Central Park Tower and the two west bays are all part of the same property. And yes, that cladding is definitely dated.

I suppose it's a nice touch for an old building...lol.

Anyway, I spoke to the guy cleaning it up briefly the other day, he said the city was having him do that so they could try to sell the building. So no real news yet.

They can't get that transit center done soon enough, those bus stops attract way too many shady characters. The reverse angle parking concept is interesting as well, I can't count how many times someone has backed out in front of me on Farnam street. And it's not their fault, they can't freaking see...

I've had good luck with both High Gear in LaVista and BikeMasters.

I stopped into Olympia in Millard for a hand pump one time, and I had to wait 20 mins while the one guy working there finished a sale. I've never gone back since.
