Re: Harrington's Family Restaurant (former Mimi's @ Village Pointe)

I don't think Harrington's survived. It appeared to be closed when I drove by last night with a note on the window. Perhaps not... I don't mean to start rumors, but this may be the case. Their phone isn't working either. Their facebook says the following: Spring is on the way and so is our first co...

We have eaten there twice. First time was OK second time not so much. The pizza dough is soaked in champagne so it is an acquired taste. THe kids and i did not enjoy! Teh Burger with Peanut butter and Raspberry jalapeno jelly was pretty good.

When i lived at MTC, I'd normally go to delice. I guess that's an option. Moving to CB put a damper on a few of my favorite places.

Working from Home

Hello!

Does anyone else work from home? I get bored and need to work remotely occasionally. Starbucks and Panera are becoming a bit boring. Does anyone have any other recommendations in the CB or Downtown Omaha area?

I guess I am the odd ball we went and our two kids. We each chose different places. The prices are a bit higher than normal generic food court food but we found it suffice and didn't need seconds or feel hungry. Why couldn't or wouldn't they keep the Cabellas name. They can buy it .... doesn't necessarily mean they have to convert them to bass, they can run two divisions under different names and separate companies.

Ownership groups often get reduced annual fees and royalties in order to try the new concept. If the concept doesn't fly there is usually a clause stating the chain will pay to switch them to another stronger flag

As Omaha is the "flagship", part of me thought we should keep the warehouses in there currently place, turn Ms. B's into more warehouse space. Demo current NFM, create a new Ms. B's. (with strip mall or hotel) then build an all new flagship in the crossroads development. Just a thought.

Same concept as hotels. It's all about Revenue Management. Having a lot of rooms in a hotel have higher operational costs, building a sufficient amount in order to fill and remain most profitable at the optimal price point. Im surprised stadiums took this long to catch the concept.
