Re: Local Breweries
I hear you on granite city, and I certainly wouldn't fault you for not including them. I haven't been to Jaipur in ages either, and I only recall their jalapeño beer. But checking lcc website, they have paid taxes on 750 gallons that they have brewed this year. Speaking of the lcc (liquor control co...

Very nice, Brad. Couple more that pay taxes to the lcc that aren't represented: Jaipur Broken Arrow Cellars (Imperial) Boiler Room (Lincoln) Fairfield Opera House (Fairfield) Granite City (Omaha and Lincoln) (they apparently at least ferment at each) Divots (Norfolk) Lazy Horse (Ohiowa) You could ch...

Re: Menards (Stony Brook)
When Menards built in Fremont at first there was no lumber yard. All the lumber they had was inside the main store. That was at the original store, which was a repurposed WalMart. When they built the new store down the road, it included the lumber yard. I recall the reasoning for not having a lumbe...

I've read some alternate thoughts on that. They didn't want to close the runway for 2+ years. Also, I've also seen some rumor mills, that the reason why they are clearing out the buildings north of the runway, like bldg C & D, are because if they can relocate those buildings, they can build a s...

Haven't heard anything. AFAIK, "the owner" is three different guys, so that doesn't jive. But one of them could be a majority owner, or one is just looking to sell their stake.

Construction fence is up on the south side and they are working on installing it on the east side today. We were told that they were starting with demo on the north side next week using a large crane, but no signs of a crane yet. Just three excavators and couple skidloaders so far.

There has been strong rumor for 2 years that this was going to be sold. However, the DeMarco property was the plot twist. Re: Offutt's 55th Wing may leave?
While I can't say that certain air based missions wouldnt leave, the 55th wing is mostly responsible for running the entire base. If they cease to exist its because the base is closed, which is unlikely given recent investment. No doubt, making the runway safe and reliable is important, however. Th...

Any idea why they put gravel in front of the crane? Is that going to be where they build the base for the tower crane? If it is, that seems like a ways away from the hotel floor print.
