There's an existing McDonald's not far from there on the west side of 72nd, just south of Lake. Appears it will become toast. That whole stretch of 72nd between Blondo and Maple is in need of revitalization.

The McDonald's on 72nd and Lake is now closed. There is a sign on the door that says the one on Blondo will open October 12.

I've enjoyed that McDonald's throughout my life because it was relatively low-key. The new location will be great for them, good for me because I will probably be less inclined to eat there. Win-win over-all, though I am a little sad to see another house of memories go away.
